ENETI
What does ENETI stand for?
ENETI stands for Encuentro Nacional de Estudiantes de Traducción e Interpretación (National Meeting of Translation and Interpreting Students in English). This non-profit annual conference is held each year at a different Spanish university where the Translation and Interpreting undergraduate degree is offered. The 12th edition of ENETI is set to be held at the University of Alicante in 2015 during the first semester.
To whom is it addressed?
ENETI is a forum addressed to every translation and interpreting student, teacher, association and professional. It is always represented by different faculties throughout Spain.
What is its purpose?
Its main aim is to serve as a meeting point for translation and interpreting students, as well as to be a platform for dialogue between professionals and associations of this field. ENETI’s lectures, round tables and activities also have strong educational and training purposes.
It is also one of the AETI’s key events (Asociación Española Universitaria de Traductores e Intérpretes en Formación – Spanish University Association of Translators and Interpreters in Training). The AETI’s directive board that will take over the association this year is also voted at the ENETI.
How is all of this achieved?
This event is organised year after year thanks to the volunteer effort of students themselves. ENETI is the result of this effort and thus its philosophy is focused on being a benefit for students.
